Dear Community Stakeholder:
Greetings! I hope and trust this note finds you and your loved ones healthy, safe and well in the midst of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
As you may recall, the 2020 Financial Empowerment Summit was postponed in accordance with CDC and local, county and state governmental mandates in the best interest of public health. After pivoting twice. . .
The 2021 Financial Empowerment Summit will now be held virtually due to the ongoing pandemic and vaccination roll-out. Sessions will be pre-recorded since the event will no longer be held in the form of a live convention at The OnCenter.
The plan is to prerecord video sessions in preparation of a premiere. Pivoting virtually will enable me to bundle session topics and make it accessible on-demand to audiences in dire need of the financial education content, particularly since the pandemic has had a devastating effect on individuals, households and businesses’ finances.
Additionally, proceeding in this manner shields the intended target audience from the exhaustive exercise of sitting in front of Zoom all day. Debuting the summit in this format now also has the potential of reaching an online audience far beyond Syracuse and Central New York, thereby elevating brand visibility. A digital conference booklet will accompany the rollout.
The VIP Reception sponsored by M&T Bank will still be held, but “live” virtually on Friday, April 9th at 5:30 p.m. Otherwise, you can release Saturday, April 10th from your calendar schedule.
I remain committed to this project. Thank you for your understanding, support, and sustained patience as I--along with all of you--reimagine the summit as we continue to navigate these unprecedented times.
Continue to remain healthy and safe.
